As a long standing member of Investors In People, we pride ourselves on being an excellent place to work. We currently have 20 team members and half of these wonderful individuals have each worked in our surgeries for over 10 years.

ConsultationsWe offer our clients longer surgery consultations to properly understand and discuss the health concerns of our clients and their pets

Pet CareOur care is personal, we pride ourselves on that. Our motto is to care for your pet as if they were our pet

SurgeriesYour pet’s care is our priority which is why we offer an extensive range of surgeries with our fantastic Veterinary Surgeons.

Laparoscopic Keyhole SurgeryWe promise to care for your pet as if they were our pets. This includes having the most up-to-date and effective medical and surgical procedures available.

VaccinationsOur vaccination service is an injection given to your pet to help prevent infections and diseases

ReferralsOur referral services include Laparoscopic keyhole surgery & Diagnostic Imaging. Our highly qualified and experienced team strives to offer the best treatment options for each case.

Repeat PrescriptionsRepeat prescriptions are available through our prescription request form or call the surgery where the reception staff will take your order.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Are you looking to join a busy independent small animal practice in the Tynedale area?

Orchard House Veterinary Centres is an award-winning, independent companion animal practice with three branches in and around the Tyne Valley.

We are looking for a confident RVN with the genuine desire to nurture a compassionate and caring environment to join our Hexham team.

We are a friendly, local practice who are committed to caring for our patients, their owners and our staff. We pride ourselves on our exceptional, high quality, modern medicine and surgery. We have ultrasound, dental and x-ray facilities, in-house laboratory, and pharmacy and offer laparoscopic surgery.

This role is

Part time: 30 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday and Friday
Holiday: 4 weeks plus bank holidays and an additional day per year up to 5 years’ service.
Out-of-hours on-call as part of a shared rota.
CPD allowance included and staff development encouraged.
RCVS fees included.
Salary: DOE

2^nd Year Student Nurse / Veterinary Care Assistant

Are you looking to join a busy independent small animal practice in the Tynedale area?

Orchard House Veterinary Centres is an award-winning, independent companion animal practice with three branches in and around the Tyne Valley.

We are looking for a 2^nd Year Student Nurse or an experienced Veterinary Care Assistant / Animal Nursing Assistant / Nursing Auxiliary with the genuine desire to nurture a compassionate and caring environment.

This role is

Hours: Full / Part time (including Friday)
Holiday: 4 weeks plus bank holidays and an additional day per year up to 5 years’ service.
CPD allowance included and staff development encouraged.
RVN training an option
Salary: DOE

RECEPTIONIST - Stocksfield

Orchard House Veterinary Centres is an award-winning, independent companion animal practice with three branches in and around the Tyne Valley.

Due to the recent refurbishment and expansion of our Stocksfield branch we are seeking a friendly, professional and organised receptionist / administrator to join our team at Stocksfield.

The role:

3 days a week, 8am until 6.15pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Holiday: 4 weeks plus bank holidays and an additional day per year up to 5 years’ service (pro rata for part time employees)
Salary: DOE

We are looking someone who:

Will provide excellent customer service.
Is kind and friendly and will care for our clients’ pets as if they were your own.
Has strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise effectively whilst staying calm under pressure.
Has excellent telephone and IT skills.
Is able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
