Who we are
We understand that choosing your vet is one of the most important decisions a pet owner can take. Our three Orchard House Veterinary Centres are independent and family owned, and specialise in pets (plus the occasional chicken, owl and wallaby). Orchard House is the local, community-focused choice. Our clients value our high standards of care for them and their pets. Our staff are highly qualified, caring and approachable. And we care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – we do not outsource care to a distant emergency centre. Around 8000 families and households in Tynedale trust us to care for their pets “as if they were our pets”. We hope you will too.

What services/surgeries do we provide?

Consultations – Our appointments are 20 minutes each so that your pet can have a thorough health check and you can have a conversation with our veterinary surgeons.
Well Pet Club – You can save up to £120 a year by being a member of our Well Pet Club. Your monthly direct debit covers 12 months of parasite control (and includes monthly prevention), a mid year health check, booster vaccine and many discounts across our practices!
Laparoscopic ‘Keyhole’ Surgery – We are one of very few practices in the North East to offer Laparoscopic ‘Keyhole’ Surgery. Most common use for this type of surgery is a Laparoscopic spay but check out our link to find out more information.
Ultrasound / Endoscopy – We offer a weekly surgery as standard at our Hexham surgery.
Dentistry – We have dental radiography on site at each of our branches and perform dental surgery almost daily at our branches.
