Laparoscopic Spay Keyhole Surgery

Laparoscopic surgery at our Hexham Vet Clinic
Keyhole surgery uses specialist instruments and endoscopes (cameras) to perform surgeries though small incisions in the abdomen. Large incisions can be avoided during laparoscopic spay because the surgeon uses an instrument called a laparascope to remove only the ovaries.
To help reduce post operative complications, minimally invasive surgical procedures have largely replaced traditional 'open' surgeries and this is especially true with Laparoscopic spays.
Why Choose the Laparoscopic Spay Procedure
Reduced post-operative pain and discomfort
Faster return to normal activity levels - especially useful for active or working dogs
Smaller surgical wounds with fewer post operative complications, such as decreased risk of wound infections
Better visibility during surgery Decreased surgical time
Are Laparoscopic spays more expensive than traditional spays?
